Kline Crown Remover Plier

Item #: I097-K

The Kline Crown Remover will remove posterior crowns with minimal time while leaving the U1e crown or bridge intact. The instrument features an adjustable swivel pin. Tum pin around to the side of the approach, where the margin can be reached. To remove most crowns, select an area over the buccal or lingual cusp with a more sound tooth structure. Drill a hole in the selected area slightly larger ( 1.8mm or more) than the swivel pin. Ensure the hole is completely through the crown onto the sound tooth structure. Placing the removing tip at the gingival margin. Drill a margin notch with a 37 bur or equivalent above the gum line in the metal and squeeze the handles of the remover until the crown is lifted off the U1e tooth. For porcelain veneer crowns, the approach is best from a metal lingual surface. If necessary, drill a margin notch through the porcelain with a round diamond to expose the metal. Then drill a margin notch with a 37 or 38 carbide bur. A carbide bur is the best to drill through metal to the sound tooth structure, filling material or cement.
